
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 November 1, 2024 Patch Notes
Treyarch and Raven Software have released a timely patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, addressing various issues in both Multiplayer and Zombies modes. This update, the third since last weekend’s launch, also includes crucial fixes, and adjustments ahead of Season 1, scheduled for later this month. The patch notably tackles the persistent black screen glitch plaguing players.
GLOBAL
- Stability Improvements: A significant fix targets the troublesome black screen issue that frequently arose when players loaded into matches, impacting both Multiplayer and Zombies experiences.
- Setting Tweaks: The patch effectively resolves problems encountered when selecting DLSS or DLAA in the display options.
- UI Enhancements: A bug impacting unlock notifications for Diamond Mastery Badges has been corrected, enhancing the overall user experience.
MULTIPLAYER
- Map Adjustments: The controversial map, Lowtown, is removed from the Infected map pool, aiming to optimize gameplay diversity and balance.
- Mode Additions: Infected mode has been added to the list of Private Match modes, giving players more freedom in customizing their gameplay settings.
- Gameplay Fixes: Crucial fixes target several critical gameplay elements. Issues in Free-For-All related to scoring based on total score instead of eliminations have been resolved. Players in Search and Destroy will no longer be able to slide excessively when defusing or planting the bomb.
- Weapon Accuracy: The Shotgun Slug attachment now correctly delivers the intended damage, thereby improving the accuracy of this weapon choice for players.
- Progression Adjustments: The patch addresses bugs associated with Dive Kill challenges, ensuring players receive proper credit for completing related objectives.
- Stability Improvements: Significant stability improvements are implemented for several aspects of the game. Issues surrounding UAV Scorestreaks, Infected medals, and the Vigilance perk have been addressed, offering a more consistent gaming experience.
ZOMBIES
- Exploit Closures: The exploit allowing players to repeatedly reactivate timed GobbleGums has been closed, preventing unfair advantages in the round-based gameplay.
- Resource Adjustments: Specials and Elites killed by scorestreaks will no longer drop items, adjusting loot distribution mechanics.
- Map Adjustments: The Tactical Raft’s ability to block zombie paths on Terminus has been disabled, preventing players from using this map exploit to their advantage.
- Quest Fixes: Bugs in Liberty Falls that prevented scorestreaks from activating after completing the main quest and resulting player locking in spectator mode after dying in this situation are now resolved, ensuring smooth transitions in the game.
- Server Side Stability: Various server-side fixes enhance stability, especially when altering field upgrades, leading to more seamless gameplay.
- Interface Adjustments: The round UI limit is significantly increased, from 256 to 999 rounds, improving the scope of potential gameplay.
