Part of the upcoming patch of World of Warcraft will be released on April 22, 2025. On two other dates. Overall, the content is expected to last until July.
What does the exact plan look like? In a nutshell, the roadmap for WoW Patch 11.1.5 is as follows:
- April 23: Night Fall Scenario, Cooldown Manager, and the Winds of Mysterious Luck
- May 21: Comeback of the Horrific Visions
- 4 June: Cunning duos
So at the release of the update, you can expect only three of the five highlight features of Patch 11.1.5 on the WoW servers.
How does the community react to the announcement? Many players don’t like the fact that the content of patch 11.1.5 ends up on the live servers in such a staggered way. In addition, one or the other misses a feature announced for the update.

WoW Patch 11.1.5: Content from April 23, 2025
What is the night crash scenario? In this public scenario, you will fight alongside the new “Rays of Flame” faction to defend the Arathi from the Sureki forces. Through quests and activities, you gain fame, climb ranks and earn rewards such as new armor sets, a tabard that changes visually, or a color variant of the airship.
What are the Winds of Mysterious Fortune? From April 23, 2025 to May 21, 2025, you can earn the benefits of the Winds of Mysterious Fortune to earn a 20% experience bonus and a Fame bonus for your characters level 10 to 79 (200% for the major factions in Dragonflight zones, 100% for select factions in The War Within zones).

The event also gives characters below level 80 in the zones of Dragonflight or The War Within the chance to get mysterious satchels when looting or via quests. These contain some useful items, some funny gimmicks, some equipment. Among them are warpack-bound potions that grant you 10% additional experience for 2 hours.
What is the Cooldown Manager? You can enable a new cooldown manager for your UI in Patch 11.1.5 by opening the game menu (Escape), clicking on “Options”, and then selecting “Advanced Options”.
When you activate the Cooldown Manager, important cooldowns and buffs will be displayed in separate, customizable HUD items for the selected specialization. You can adjust the display via the advanced options of the HUD edit mode.
WoW Patch 11.1.5: May 21, 2025 Content
What are the Horrific Visions? With the next patch, the Horrific Visions from Patch 8.3 will make a comeback. These will take you to the nightmarish versions of the faction capitals Orgrimmar and Stormwind dreamed of by N’Zoth’s brain. Your job: Prevent these visions from becoming reality!
To do this, you have to find and kill Alleria or Thrall. With each run, however, several optional tasks as well as hardmodes can also be mastered. If you wanted to master the crispest version of the Horrific Visions at the time, you could activate a total of five masks and thus just as many affixes, which had a noticeable effect on the difficulty of the challenge.
These five masks will be available again this time. In addition, you should also be able to unlock three more masks, which allows you to activate a total of eight affixes in the new variant of Visions.
If you activate all eight masks in Stormwind and Orgrimmar and successfully complete the resulting madness in the respective Horrific Vision, you can earn a special Shadowworm mount. You can tackle the content alone, with allies, or alongside the construct of Soridormi, who can act as a tank, DD, or healer.
WoW Patch 11.1.5: June 4, 2025 Content
What are the cunning duos? This is a new six-week-long event where you’ll face the “animatronic” versions of past bosses, get reinforcements, and get higher and higher scores. You and your party fight two (or more) bosses at once.
Cunning Duos will have three bases: one in Stormwind, one in Orgrimmar, and one in Dornogal. Vinnie Sweet Tooth is the boss, but you’ll have to talk to Xyggie Marou if you want to fight in the Cunning Dome. Visit the vendor Wodin, who offers reinforcements and items to help you in battle.
The unlocking of the boss fun takes place over several weeks. On June 4, four bosses will be available to you. In each following week, more bosses will join you, until there are a total of ten villains who want a full pound in the mouth.
Your achievements are rewarded with cosmetic items, toys, and some dungeon items. In addition, you complete achievements that are supposed to activate additional game effects on the cunning duos—whatever that means in detail. Buy WOW Gold to gear up faster and make the most of these rewards.
