
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.11 Patch Notes
CD Projekt Red has released patch 2.11 for Cyberpunk 2077, tackling a wide range of bugs and balancing issues in the open-world role-playing game. The patch notes, which were published on their website, emphasize a focus on fixing “the most common issues encountered by players, including finisher animations,” while throwing in a little something for Rayfield enthusiasts.
Gameplay Improvements
Patch 2.11 addresses a multitude of gameplay issues, including:
- Melee Finishers now work correctly.
- Health items won’t get unequipped from the quick access slot after using consumables.
- Switching Z and W keybinds on AZERTY keyboards is now possible.
- Performing dashes on the Classic control scheme no longer results in crouching.
- The F key (default) is no longer required for interaction even if bound to a different key.
- Binding the right mouse button to an action other than aiming won’t cause both actions to occur simultaneously.
- The Axolotl cyberware now reduces cooldown when neutralizing an enemy non-lethally.
- The Iconic Contagion quickhack properly triggers an explosion when combined with the Overheat quickhack.
- The Psalm 11:6 and Buzzsaw crafting specs are now available for players who completed the required activities but did not receive them.
- Players can now upgrade items to Tier 5++ on Xbox.
- Skeleton cyberware will no longer be downgraded after acquiring level 3 of the License to Chrome perk.
- Skill Shards for maxed-out skills will no longer drop.
- The RAM cost for the Cyberpsychosis quickhack now decreases after applying Cyberware Malfunction or an EMP effect.
- Killing NPCs who are drunk or using a braindance correctly triggers the police system.
- The RAM Recoup cyberware now restores the amount of RAM indicated in its description.
- Fists now have a chance to apply Bleeding after reaching level 20 in the Solo skill.
- The Biomonitor cyberware description has been updated to accurately reflect that it heals when health drops below 50%, not 35%.
- Sandevistan cyberware can now be activated during holocalls when in combat.
- Players are no longer vulnerable to quickhacks while Berserk is active.
- Cyberware Capacity is capped at 450, with excess cyberware being unequipped.
- Loot will no longer float in the air or reappear in the same spot after being picked up.
Quests and Open World Improvements
The patch also addresses several quest and open-world related issues:
- Car chases are now less frequent and don’t overlap.
- Vehicles purchased on the Autofixer website are now correctly added to the owned vehicles list.
- Players who missed the crashed AV in Rancho Coronado can now obtain the BFC 9000 Iconic weapon.
- The animation of inspecting the NCART City Pass can no longer be triggered inside an elevator, preventing V from falling through it.
- The message from NCART Customer Support that unlocks the metro will now always arrive if the requirements are met.
- Gigs that were stuck as incomplete without objectives are now fixed.
- In “A Day In The Life,” Darrell Zhou will no longer instantly die after approaching the quest marker. Players will need to load a save before speaking to him to complete the quest.
- Players can now exit the Basilisk after entering the tunnel in “Belly of the Beast”.
- The information required to progress “Cyberpsycho Sighting: On Deaf Ears” is now present in the area.
- In “Don’t Lose Your Mind,” the cab will now spawn after choosing to merge the Delamains, allowing players to progress past the “Approach the car” objective.
- Takemura is now present when players arrive at Wakako’s pachinko parlor in “Down on the Street”.
- Gustavo will no longer immediately become hostile after entering his office in “Gig: Bring Me the Head of Gustavo Orta”.
- The guards will no longer immediately attack the player after choosing the peaceful Street Kid dialogue option in “Gig: Bring Me the Head of Gustavo Orta”.
- Sleeping in V’s apartment bed is now possible while “I Really Want to Stay at Your House” is active.
- The reward for neutralizing all Cyberpsychos in “Psycho Killer” has been improved. Players who already claimed the reward can collect the new reward from Regina.
- The trail that must be scanned to progress in “Reported Crime: Dredged Up” is now present.
- The discounted price for the Spellbook in “Spellbound” is now lower than the full price.
Phantom Liberty-Specific Fixes
Several fixes have been implemented for the “Phantom Liberty” expansion:
- In “Black Steel In The Hour of Chaos,” the objective to meet Reed at the abandoned hotel will now appear, and players will have dialogue options to progress the quest when talking to Yoko.
- In “Firestarter,” weapons retrieved from the locker will no longer become job items.
- Mr. Hands is now interactable in “Hi Ho Silver Lining”, allowing players to talk to him in the Heavy Hearts club.
- Vehicle Contracts will now spawn correctly in “Just Another Story”.
- The screen will no longer go black after calling the nurse for players who experienced this issue in “Things Done Changed”.
- An end credits message from Reed has been added for endings other than The Tower.
- It is no longer possible to install attachments on the Catahoula Iconic pistol.
- The Sensory Protocol perk can no longer be activated during its cooldown.
- Synaptic Accelerator cyberware can no longer be activated during its cooldown.
- A cyberdeck is now required to benefit from Cogito Lattice cyberware.
- The buff after exploding an enemy with the Detonate Grenade quickhack now matches the description.
UI Improvements
The UI has also received some updates:
- A Radioport category has been added to Settings → Gameplay, allowing players to customize Radioport behavior, including syncing to vehicle radio, cycling stations with button presses, and saving the current station.
- The data window that appears when scanning will now remember the last open tab instead of defaulting to “Hacking”.
- Players can now change cyberware at Ripperdocs and see the Cyberware Capacity bar.
- A pop-up message has been added for when Sandevistan cannot be activated during holocalls.
- Iconic quickhacks no longer display duration in their descriptions.
- Net sites have undergone minor aesthetic improvements.
Visual Updates
Patch 2.11 also includes visual improvements:
- The neon-lit rims on the Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X now light up properly.
- Shadows appearing on V’s torso when wearing tank tops have been fixed.
- Dark shadows appearing on V’s hands when holding some weapons with Ray Tracing enabled have been fixed.
- The Devil and Judgment tarot cards are now correctly displayed on the end-game reward screen.
Vehicle Improvements
Several vehicle-related changes have been made, focusing on realism and improved driving dynamics:
- Tire track marks now accurately match the tire’s contact patch.
- Suspension movement in traffic vehicles has been adjusted for improved visual fidelity.
- Motorcycle suspension has been improved to reduce clipping, and braking has been enhanced. Some vehicles, including cars and trucks, handle landing from jumps better.
- Brake Torque Vectoring has been added to the Drive Model simulation, reducing understeer in hard braking situations.
- Vehicle tuning has been refined for several models, including the Mizutani Hozuki MH1, MH2, and “Hoseki,” Villefort Deleon V400, V410 Coupe, and “Vindicator”, Thorton Colby CST40, Mahir Supron FS3-T, Chevillon Centurion 1000, Quadra Type 66 “Hoon”, and more.
- Changes have been made to improve drifting in most vehicles, including smoother power application in AWD vehicles and improved Dynamic Stability Management.
- Burn Out Mode implementation has been polished for mid-engined cars, making it easier to induce and feel more natural.
PC-Specific Updates
For PC players, the patch includes:
- A new Hybrid CPU Utilization setting can be found under Gameplay → Performance, allowing players to prioritize performance cores or let the operating system decide how to distribute threads.
- A fix that improves performance on AMD RX Vega GPUs.
Miscellaneous
Other notable additions and fixes include:
- The CrystalCoat feature allows players to change vehicle paint color. This feature is currently exclusive to Rayfield vehicles.
- Controller Inner Dead Zone has been changed to new default values to mitigate potential stick drift issues.
- The door in the Megabuilding H10 apartment will now automatically close correctly.
REDmod
The patch includes updates for modders:
- An updated address list for modders.
