Hoellenhorden Kommen Gut An Season 5 Diablo 4 Titel 780x438 1

Despite adjustments, the endgame in Diablo 4 continues to be criticized. The new roadmap shows what is supposed to change – but there is also complaining. One fan says: Some players are simply never satisfied. Still, for those pushing through the grind, many turn to trusted platforms to Buy Diablo 4 Gold and enhance their experience.

This is the criticism: Since the release of Diablo 4, there has been criticism of the endgame. Especially frequent players lack choice, others complain about boredom. Season 4 has already turned things upside down: Hell Floods became more dangerous, the drop rates for boss mats increased and with the Pit a new endgame activity was added. For many, the activities in the endgame were relevant and fun.

For some, however, this is not enough. For example, if you grind boss runs for hours to farm certain items, you will quickly feel drained. One player reports 2,400 boss kills – with sobering results: The effort is simply not worth it. Other players do several pit runs to test the limits of the builds, but at some point the air seems to run out of steam here as well.

What does Diablo 4 bring now? In a roadmap for 2025, Blizzard shows what else is planned for Diablo 4 in the current year. These include:

  • New powers to expand your builds
  • Various events
  • New Hideout Bosses
  • Updates to Whisper Quests and Hellhordes
  • And new activities in the Nightmare Dungeons

“Everything in 2 years – and yet you are never satisfied”

What does the player say specifically? In a Reddit post, Deidarac5 emphasizes that you can clearly see where the journey is going: Blizzard wants to noticeably expand the endgame. In a screenshot, he highlights two points from the roadmap (via Blizzard):

  • Sins of Horadrim: We’re returning to the Nightmare Dungeons with new activities and interactions that allow you to increase the intensity of the dungeons as you hunt down the Barons of Hell.
  • Hell Mayhem: Hell Horde Updates – Hell Hordes will become more chaotic as we give you new options. There will also be more advanced options between the Hell Waves.

Deidarac5 also reminds us that many players complained about the item rework – only to celebrate later how good the loot has become in Season 4. The Hell Floods have also already been reworked and new crafting systems have been added.

With the Vessel of Hatred expansion, the mercenaries, runewords, a new class and new areas were added. “All in just 2 years. And yet many are never satisfied,” he writes. Blizzard is working on exactly the things that the community wanted. Or?

Fans lack replayability and long-term motivation

What do other players say about it? BasicBlacksmith8424 also explains in a comment: There is always complaining. You can’t please everyone. Diablo 4 has actually been criticized many times for wanting to please everyone and therefore being worse than it could be.

And OlFilthy35912 says: No matter what’s on the roadmap, there will be complaining. “We’ll have to wait and see how good the changes really be. But I expect that we can adapt the nightmare dungeons and make them real endgame content, just like the hell hordes,” he believes.

Why are some fans skeptical? User invis_able_gamer is cautiously optimistic, but also sees room for improvement:

At least you can see that they are working on improving the game – that’s nice. A fair rating is difficult without more details.

Who knows – maybe they’ll add tributes to the nightmare dungeons. Maybe they’ll scale the pit. Maybe we’ll finally get a mode (except the Undercity) that specifically drops […] items.

The game needs more replayability in the base systems to make it fun in the long run, and each season needs to bring enough new things to feel fresh. So far, I think they’re doing quite well. Could it be better? Clear. Will I still have fun with Diablo 4? Absolute.

For the user AchtGradFieber, there is no point in continuing to play after a certain time. He says:

I’m a bit surprised that people talk about the endgame, but never about why you should grind (Paragon) and optimize your gear at all. For me, the endgame is the reward for my invested time and effort. I hope Blizzard brings something worth grinding – and that is also measurable so that you stay motivated in the long run.

What exactly is behind the “new activities and interactions” in the nightmare dungeons or how exactly the hell hordes are supposed to become even more chaotic, Blizzard has so far left open. Presumably, fans will only find out what to expect with the announcements for Season 9 and 10.

According to the roadmap, challenges in which players can compete with each other – for example through a ranking system or leaderboards – are not planned until 2026, as is another expansion with a new class. In an interview, game director Brent Gibson has already revealed a few details. His statements about the new class give hope for a paladin.
