EA SPORTS FC 26 has officially entered its final major Ultimate Team phase with the launch of Season 10: Pre-Season on August 13, 2026. Instead of focusing only on building one last powerful FC 26 squad, players can now earn Packs, Player Items, Evolutions, Tokens and rewards that will carry over into EA SPORTS FC 27.

If you still need to strengthen your squad for Rivals, Champions, Objectives or the new Pre-Season content, you can buy FC 26 Coins on iGV and use them to target Transfer Market upgrades, complete SBC requirements and prepare your club for the final weeks of FC 26. With FC 27 approaching, however, using your Coins efficiently is more important than simply buying the most expensive FUTTIES cards available.

What Is FC 26 Season 10 Pre-Season?

Season 10: Pre-Season is designed as the bridge between FC 26 and FC 27.

The new season combines endgame FUTTIES content with a much larger focus on rewards that can help players when they begin their next Ultimate Team.

EA has introduced a new Season Ladder, Premium Pass, Pre-Season Token Store, weekly Completionist Objectives and multiple FC 27 carryover rewards.

For active Ultimate Team players, this means there are now two reasons to keep playing FC 26.

The first is obvious: continue improving your current endgame squad.

The second is more important for long-term players: complete specific objectives now so that you begin FC 27 with extra Packs, Coins, Player Picks and Evolutions.

FC 26 Season 10 Rewards

The Season 10 Standard and Premium Pass ladders include several major FUTTIES Player Items.

EA has confirmed FUTTIES Raúl Jiménez and FUTTIES Alexia Putellas as Standard Ladder rewards, while the Premium Ladder includes FUTTIES Gonçalo Ramos and FUTTIES Patrick Vieira.

FUTTIES Alexia Putellas

Alexia Putellas is one of the headline Standard Ladder rewards.

For players who need a high-level central midfielder or attacking midfielder, a FUTTIES Putellas item can potentially save a significant number of FC 26 Coins compared with purchasing another elite card directly from the Transfer Market.

This is an important point during Pre-Season.

Before paying hundreds of thousands or millions of Coins for a new midfielder, check whether your Season progression is close to unlocking a comparable free reward.

FUTTIES Patrick Vieira

Patrick Vieira is included in the Season 10 Premium Ladder.

Vieira-type cards have traditionally been highly desirable in Ultimate Team because of their defensive presence, reach and midfield versatility.

If you plan to complete the Premium Ladder, consider whether Vieira can fill your CDM or CM position before investing heavily in another defensive midfielder.

The best FC 26 Coin strategy during Pre-Season is to combine free rewards with carefully selected Transfer Market purchases instead of replacing every position with expensive tradeable cards.

FC 27 Carryover Rewards in FC 26

Carryover Rewards are arguably the most important feature of Season 10.

EA has confirmed that specific rewards earned in FC 26 will be delivered to eligible players in FC 27.

These are not a complete transfer of your FC 26 club.

Your existing squad and Coin balance do not simply move into FC 27.

Instead, you must complete designated FC 26 objectives that award specific FC 27 rewards.

Season 10 Level 30 Reward

Completing Level 30 of the regular Season 10 Ladder gives you two FC 27 rewards:

An untradeable 82+ x7 Player Pack

A Quick Step PlayStyle Evolution Consumable with a maximum eligible player rating of 83 OVR

EA says these rewards are scheduled to be delivered by October 9, 2026.

An 82+ x7 Pack could be particularly useful early in FC 27, when high-rated cards and SBC fodder are still relatively valuable.

The Evolution Consumable may be even more interesting because early-game Evolutions can turn inexpensive cards into useful starters.

Pre-Season Completionist Week 1

The first Pre-Season Completionist group launched on August 13.

Completing the Week 1 group earns an FC 27 81+ x3 Pack and 10,000 Coins, scheduled for delivery on October 16.

Ten thousand Coins may not sound significant compared with a late-game FC 26 balance, but the FC 27 economy will be completely different.

During the first weeks of a new Ultimate Team cycle, 10,000 Coins can help fund several starter players, SBC requirements or early trading opportunities.

Four Weeks of Completionist Rewards

EA has scheduled four Pre-Season Completionist weeks.

Week 1 begins August 13.

Week 2 begins August 20.

Week 3 begins August 27.

Week 4 begins September 3.

Each weekly group offers an 81+ x3 Pack and 10,000 FC 27 Coins.

Players who complete the overall Pre-Season Completionist Group can also earn an additional 20,000 Coins and a tradeable 83+ OVR 1 of 3 Player Pick in FC 27.

That makes these Objectives especially valuable for players planning to start FC 27 Ultimate Team from day one.

How to Receive FC 27 Carryover Rewards

There is one requirement players should not overlook.

EA states that FC 27 carryover rewards must be redeemed using the same EA Account that earned them in FC 26.

Players should therefore verify their EA Account before changing consoles, platforms or login information.

Carryover rewards will begin appearing in FC 27 from early October, rather than immediately on September 18 or September 25.

EA also says earned rewards must be redeemed within the specified redemption window.

Do not assume you can leave the rewards unclaimed for the entire FC 27 season.

FC 26 Pre-Season Token Store Explained

Season 10 introduces a new Pre-Season Token Store.

Tokens can be earned through several Ultimate Team modes, including Rivals, Squad Battles, Champions, Rush and Squad Building Challenges. Players can also receive Tokens by earning certain amounts of Season Points.

The biggest change is the Token limit.

Token Limit Increased to 3,000

Season 9 had a weekly FUTTIES Token limit of 1,000.

For Season 10, EA has increased that limit to 3,000.

This creates considerably more flexibility for active players.

You can earn Tokens across multiple modes and decide whether to exchange them for Player Items, Packs or Evolutions.

FUTTIES Didier Drogba

EA has confirmed FUTTIES ICON Didier Drogba among the first Pre-Season Token Store offerings.

A premium striker reward like Drogba can affect how you should spend FC 26 Coins.

If you are close to earning enough Tokens for Drogba, purchasing another expensive striker may be unnecessary.

Instead, you could use Coins to strengthen your midfield or defence.

FUTTIES Salma Paralluelo

FUTTIES Salma Paralluelo is another confirmed early Token Store reward.

Fast, versatile attacking cards can be particularly useful during the FUTTIES endgame, especially when squads already contain multiple high-rated attackers.

Again, evaluate the free or Token-based rewards available before spending large amounts on similar Transfer Market cards.

New FC 26 Pre-Season Objectives

Season 10 includes FUTTIES ICONs, Packs and Pre-Season FUTTIES Player Items through Objectives.

EA says some Pre-Season FUTTIES cards will highlight players who have recently transferred clubs.

This gives the final FC 26 season a connection to the new football season rather than focusing exclusively on recycled endgame cards.

Alessandro Del Piero Completionist Reward

The first weekly Completionist reward is FUTTIES ICON Alessandro Del Piero.

This is another example of why players should review Objectives before purchasing new attackers.

If you can earn an elite attacking ICON by completing gameplay objectives, your FC 26 Coins may produce greater value elsewhere.

Best FC 26 Coin Strategy During Pre-Season

FC 26 is now approaching the end of its cycle, so the way players use Coins should change.

There is less reason to hold a huge unused balance, but there is also less reason to overpay for cards that may be replaced by free FUTTIES rewards.

Upgrade Weak Positions First

Start by identifying the two or three weakest positions in your starting eleven.

Do not simply buy another striker because the newest FUTTIES attacker looks exciting.

If your attack is already elite but your centre-backs struggle against fast opponents, Coins spent on defence may improve your results much more.

Use Free Rewards Before Buying Alternatives

Check the Season Ladder, Token Store, SBC menu and Objectives before going to the Transfer Market.

Players such as Putellas, Vieira, Drogba and Del Piero may cover positions you were planning to upgrade with Coins.

Using those rewards allows you to concentrate your Coin budget on positions where no suitable free option exists.

Keep Some Coins Liquid

Even during the endgame, it is useful to keep a portion of your balance available.

New SBCs, Objectives and Token rewards can change squad requirements quickly.

A new FUTTIES card may also create demand for specific chemistry links.

Keeping some liquid FC 26 Coins gives you more freedom to react.

Avoid Paying Launch Prices Without a Reason

New special cards often experience significant price movement after release.

During the first hours, supply may be limited and buyer interest may be high.

Unless the player is essential for your current competitive squad, consider monitoring the market before committing a large percentage of your Coin balance.

How to Build Your Final FC 26 Squad

At this stage, overall rating alone is not enough.

Most active players already have access to very high-rated cards.

The difference between a good card and an elite card increasingly comes from PlayStyles, positions, body type, movement and how the card fits your tactics.

Attack

Prioritise attackers with responsive movement, strong finishing, effective Skill Moves and a reliable Weak Foot.

You should also consider positional flexibility.

An attacker capable of playing ST, LW, RW and CAM can make formation changes much easier.

Midfield

Balance is more important than simply stacking attacking midfielders.

A strong endgame midfield should normally contain someone capable of protecting the defence, winning possession and progressing the ball.

This is why rewards such as FUTTIES Vieira can potentially have such a large impact.

Defence

Late-game attackers are extremely powerful.

Your defenders therefore need enough acceleration and recovery pace to deal with transitions.

Defensive awareness, physical presence and reliable tackling remain important, but a slow defender can still be exposed by elite FUTTIES forwards.

Should You Still Buy FC 26 Coins?

For players still actively playing FC 26, Coins remain useful because there are several weeks of Pre-Season content left.

Buying FC 26 Coins on iGV can give you additional Transfer Market flexibility when you want to complete an expensive SBC, purchase a specific FUTTIES player or strengthen positions not covered by Season rewards.

The most important point is to purchase with a clear squad plan.

Do not judge value by how many Coins you can spend.

Judge it by how much the purchase improves your actual starting squad.

As FC 27 approaches, efficient upgrades are more valuable than simply owning expensive cards.

Prepare Your Club for FC 27

Season 10 changes the purpose of playing FC 26.

You are no longer working only toward a better FC 26 team.

Selected Objectives now contribute directly to your FC 27 start.

Players who complete the Season Ladder and weekly Pre-Season Completionist groups can enter FC 27 with additional Packs, Coins, an Evolution Consumable and a tradeable Player Pick waiting for them in October.

That makes the next four weeks particularly important.

Complete carryover Objectives first, earn as many useful Pre-Season Tokens as possible, take advantage of free FUTTIES players and use your remaining FC 26 Coins only where they create clear upgrades.

Final Thoughts

FC 26 Season 10: Pre-Season is more than another late-game Ultimate Team season.

It is the official transition from FC 26 to FC 27.

The 3,000 Token limit, FUTTIES rewards, weekly Completionist content and FC 27 Carryover Rewards give active players several reasons to keep playing.

For the best results, combine Objective rewards with smart Transfer Market spending. Use free FUTTIES cards where possible, purchase FC 26 Coins only for targeted upgrades and make FC 27 carryover Objectives your priority.

The strongest Pre-Season strategy is not simply about finishing FC 26 with an expensive squad. It is about enjoying your final FC 26 team while simultaneously giving yourself a better start when FC 27 arrives.
