The latest benchmark test for Final Fantasy XIV’s upcoming expansion, Dawntrail, has revealed an exciting new addition for players – the ability to create female Hrothgar characters. This highly anticipated feature comes after the release of the male Viera variant in a previous expansion. The benchmark test allows players to explore the customization options for the female Hrothgar and experiment with their appearance. In this article, we will delve into the details of the female Hrothgar character creation and discuss the possibilities of new races being introduced in the game after the release of Dawntrail.

Female Hrothgar Character Creation:

The benchmark testing software for Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail offers players the chance to explore the customization options available for the new female Hrothgar characters. Just like with the male Viera, players can choose from various options such as faces, hairstyles, skin color, and other miscellaneous options.

In terms of hairstyles, there are five default options to choose from. Players can also select different fur patterns, eyebrows, eye shapes, and jaw types to customize their character’s appearance. Additionally, players can choose between two clans, the Helions or the Lost, which will affect the overall look of their character. It’s worth noting that female Hrothgar characters follow the same rules as male Hrothgar and Viera when it comes to helmets – only certain helmets will be visible due to their unique head shape.

If players wish to create an alternate character as a female Hrothgar, they will need to unlock the hairstyles again. However, if they use a Fantasia item on their main character to change their race, all previously unlocked hairstyles will be retained.

New Races After Dawntrail?

It has been confirmed by Yoshi-P, the producer and director of Final Fantasy XIV, that the female Hrothgar race will be the last playable race to be introduced in the game. This decision is based on the significant amount of work required to create new races, including skeleton rigging, armor set design, and helmet shaping. Given that Final Fantasy XIV regularly releases new gear sets every month, it becomes challenging to accommodate new races with their unique requirements.

While the introduction of new races after the release of Dawntrail seems unlikely, Yoshi-P has left room for flexibility. If there is sufficient community support and demand for another playable race, it is possible that the development team will consider adding it in future updates.

Conclusion:

The inclusion of the female Hrothgar customization options in the latest benchmark test for Final Fantasy XIV’s Dawntrail expansion has brought excitement and anticipation among players. They now have the opportunity to create their unique Female Hrothgar Warrior of Light characters and experiment with different customization options. The female Hrothgar race will be the last playable race to be introduced in the game, according to the producer and director of Final Fantasy XIV. However, if there is enough community support and demand, the possibility of new races being added in the future can’t be completely ruled out. As players eagerly await the release of Dawntrail on July 2, they can continue to enjoy the extensive character customization options available in the benchmark test.
