PoE 2 Supportanfragen Entschuldigung 780x438 1

Path of Exile 2 is not without its problems. However, many players who turn to support for help receive no or only a very late response. What’s behind this?

What are the problems?

Since the Early Access launch of Path of Exile 2 on December 6, 2024, the game has received a lot of praise. It is already an incredibly complex genre representative and invites you to tinker with builds.

However, there are still technical problems and other requests that the community passes on to the developers. This usually takes the form of support requests that reach the studio Grinding Gear Games as an email.

However, many players receive no or only a very late answer to their concerns. The developers have now explained why this is and what a solution looks like.

Grinding Gear Games apologizes

What do the developers say?

The team was probably surprised by the enormous rush on the servers of Path of Exile 2. In connection with this, they did not expect the high number of support requests internally.

Specifically, the developers write in an update on Steam that around 545,000 email requests have been received since November 22, 2024. So the support team simply can’t keep up, for which they apologized a few weeks ago.

Now follows the next apology, as they have already worked diligently, but still could not answer all inquiries.

“We really appreciate everyone’s patience as the support team works hard to handle the incoming queries and can assure you that we are increasing the number of support staff to ensure faster responses in the future. You deserve better customer service than we were able to provide despite our team’s efforts, and we are sorry for that.”Grinding Gear Games via Steam

After all, the number of open emails has been reduced to 75,000. So there is still some work waiting for the team, but at least there is an improvement.

To make the situation even easier, Grinding Gear Games is calling on you not to send follow-up emails. You just have to be patient, because every additional mail automatically brings you back to the end of the queue.

What the developers also offer: If you have New Zealand or Australian citizenship, you can send an application for the support team to the developers without further ado and help out in the future. However, you would have to work in the office in New Zealand to do so.

In this way, Grinding Gear Games wants to improve the current situation even further and ensure that support requests can be answered quickly in the future. In the meantime, the community itself has tinkered with improving the user experience: “Finally we can play the right game”: Fans celebrate a new tool for Path of Exile 2, can finally play properly.
