This dungeon features a formidable roster of bosses and enemies:

Main Bosses:

  • The Adjudicator
  • The Planar Inhibitor
  • Molag Kena

Elite Enemies:

  • Crematorial Guards
  • The Iron-Swathed Glutton
  • The Scion of Wroth

Imperial Warriors (Elite Guards):

  • Cordius Pontifio
  • Otho Numida
  • Micella Carlinus

The Team

While the composition of the team can vary, a well-rounded group should generally consist of the following roles:

  • 1 Stamina DPS
  • 1 Magic DPS
  • 1 Healer
  • 1 Tank

The Strategy

To conquer the White Gold Tower, a strategic approach is essential. We’ve divided the strategy into six distinct phases:

Phase I: Entering the Dungeon

The first elite enemy you encounter before entering the White Gold Tower is the Iron-Swathed Glutton. Its most dangerous attack is the Poison Pools. However, the Glutton can be defeated relatively easily by avoiding its poison attacks and positioning yourself strategically. Ideally, the Tank should draw the Glutton’s attention while other players attack from behind. Tanks should be mindful of the Glutton’s heavy attacks.

Phase II: Inside The Dungeon

Upon entering the dungeon, you face The Adjudicator, the first boss, in the Throne Room. The team should wait for the Adjudicator to reach the bottom of the stairs before engaging. The Tank should position the boss facing them, while other players form a triangle formation around her.

Key Mechanics:

  • Zombies: The Adjudicator continuously summons zombies, which can be easily dispatched by moving close to her and exploiting the AoE of her attacks.
  • Creeping Winter: This targeted attack sends waves traveling along the ground. To avoid damage, move to the sides of the boss after she turns towards you.
  • Fire Tower: Fire towers on the left and right blast flames onto the floor. Avoid their AoE to avoid taking heavy damage.
  • Coldharbour Justice: The boss randomly teleports a player into a burning cage. Have a player with lock-picking skills to quickly escape.

Phase III: The Elite Guards

The three Elite Guards, Cordius Pontifio, Otho Numida, and Micella Carlinus, stand as formidable foes.

  • Micella Carlinus: The toughest of the trio, she utilizes stuns, a Dragonknight banner, and engulfing flames. Focus on defeating her first.
  • Cordius Pontifio: A Nightblade/Dragonknight wielding dual swords, he gains a buff when near his allies, increasing his attack power and damage resistance. The Tank should separate him from his allies. Avoid his flame banner.
  • Otho Numida: The healer of the trio, he focuses on healing his allies. Interrupt his healing to avoid bolstering the other guards. He wields a flame staff that can deal fatal damage with just one or two hits.

Phase IV: The Planar Inhibitor

Before facing the Planar Inhibitor, you’ll encounter The Scion of Wroth, a Daedric Titan. The Tank can easily defeat this titan, allowing the team to proceed. The Planar Inhibitor is a challenging boss with numerous mechanics that require careful coordination.

Key Mechanics:

  • Pinion: The player holding the Pinion controls the Fire Atronach. The Tank should always have this.
  • Flame Bursts: Flame bursts ignite players and random locations, dealing heavy damage. Avoid these with quick maneuvering.
  • Portals: Two players will experience a greyscale screen. Locate and destroy portals in the room to counter this.
  • Magma Driver: After multiple Pinion closures, the boss dives into the ground, emerging with a high-damage flame attack. Stay out of the AoE.
  • Blue Phase: After two Magma Driver attacks, the Planar Inhibitor becomes engulfed in blue flames, entering a more difficult phase.

Phase V: Blue Phase

The Blue Phase is a complex and challenging phase requiring exceptional team coordination. One effective strategy is the Lead and Lure Strategy.

The Lead and Lure Strategy involves the player with the Pinion continuously leading the boss from one corner of the room to another, making it difficult for her to target individuals with her flames. During the boss’s AoE dive and stun, the team should return to their original positions and launch attacks.

Phase VI: The Final Boss

Molag Kena, the final boss, resides at the top of the tower. The Tank should strive to keep her in the center of the room as she moves around, making it difficult to avoid her attacks.

Key Mechanics:

  • Electrified Surge: Kena unleashes a large angled cone of electricity that can knock you back. Avoid the cone’s path.
  • Electrostorm Whirl: This spinning lightning strip is an instant-kill for anyone caught in it. Jump over it or stay behind Kena during this attack.
  • The Storm Atronach: Kena can summon a Storm Atronach that stuns a player and deals high damage to those near it. DPS should prioritize its destruction.
  • Shield Phase: Kena becomes immune to damage when adds create a shield in front of her. Destroy the adds to remove the shield. This phase occurs at 50-60% and 25-30% health.
  • EXECUTE: At 20% health, Kena enters EXECUTE mode, unleashing all her attacks, including double Electrostorm Whirl. Maintain coordination and tactics to overcome this phase.

Conclusion

The White Gold Tower in ESO is a formidable challenge that requires skill, coordination, and a strategic approach. By following this guide, you can overcome the dungeon’s obstacles and claim victory.
