Warframe Index Guide: iGV

Warframe Index Guide with Answers

What is the Index?

The Index is a competitive arena in Warframe, located on Neptune. Teams of four face off against another team of four Corpus combatants. The goal isn’t just to defeat the enemies; players accumulate Index Points (glowing green gems) by killing Corpus combatants. These points, when carried, apply a stacking debuff called Financial Stress, reducing health, shields, and energy. Players deposit these points into their team’s vault to increase their team score and the timer. The team that reaches the Point Target first, before the time runs out, wins the match. The investment level chosen before the match determines both the wager and potential payout.

Which investment level should I choose?

Investment levels (Low, Medium, High) influence the wager (30,000, 40,000, 50,000 credits) and potential payout (105,000, 175,000, 250,000 credits). Higher investment levels present tougher enemies and stronger Financial Stress. Low and Medium levels are often more sustainable for players new to the Index, offering greater consistency. High investment should be reserved for coordinated teams to maximize your potential earnings, although individual skill can still lead to victories.

Which Warframes and weapons are most effective in the Index?

Warframes that excel at withstanding the Financial Stress debuff are ideal for the Index. Rhino’s Iron Skin negates damage to shields and health, making him a top choice. Mesa and Ash, with their powerful AoE abilities, can rapidly eliminate Corpus combatants. Weapons that inflict significant damage are also crucial. The Tigris Prime and Opticor offer high damage output with fewer shots, making them reliable primary choices. For melee, high Slash damage weapons like the Galatine Prime, Prisma Dual Cleavers, or Nikana Prime, increase the chance of inflicting the Bleed status effect on enemies, further increasing the efficiency in the Index.

What strategy should I use in the Index?

Don’t rush to deposit Index Points immediately. Accumulate as many points as possible before depositing them into the vault. Cashing in multiple points (5, 10, 15, or 20+) yields bonus points (2, 4, 8, and 10). The more points you have before depositing, the better, as stronger enemies become tougher. However, constantly cashing in only allows you to fight enemies at lower strength. Consider your opponents’ status; if the other team has achieved a point, immediately depositing points is vital to gaining time. Each point cashed in gains your team 10 seconds, which may help save your match.

Investing in the Index

The Index is a highly profitable arena in Warframe. Understanding the investment levels, selecting effective Warframes and weapons, developing a strategic approach, and considering the time management element are crucial for maximizing your credits in the Index. By mastering these aspects, you will become a more effective Tenno when playing the Index, making a significant amount of credits through efficient play and strategic cashing-in. Remember to weigh the risk of losing your investment when choosing an investment level, making calculated decisions based on the capabilities of your teammates and enemies. Enjoy the high-stakes battle, and reap the rewards!
