You can now buy legendary items from a new NPC in World of Warcraft – for only 500 gold. At least if you meet a requirement.
The fact that you don’t get many good items in World of Warcraft as loot from enemies, but can buy them directly from some NPCs, is basically nothing new. But now, in patch 11.0.7, an NPC has been discovered who even sells legendary items directly – at least if you meet the requirements.
What does the NPC sell?
The respective NPC sells you legendary items from the past of World of Warcraft. Items such as “Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker” or “Dragon’s Fury, Tarecgosa’s Final Rest” can be found here. The items only cost a cheap 500 gold pieces each – about what you can earn from a good World Quest.
The catch: You must have obtained these legendary items in the past. So you must either have completed the original quest line or mastered the large farming effort for the items. This is not a shortcut to these items. Among the items sold are:
- Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker
- Warglaive of Azzinoth
- Thori’dal, Fury of the Stars
- Val’anyr, Hammer of the Ancient Kings
- Shadowgrief
- Dragon’s Fury, Tarecgosa’s Final Rest
- Golad, Twilight of the Aspects / Tiriosh, Nightmare of the Ages
- The Legendary Cloaks of Pandaria
- Ashra’kamas, Shroud of Determination
- Rae’shalare, Whispers of Death
- Nasz’uro, the Legacy Unleashed
- Fyr’alath, the Dream Ripper
If you’ve destroyed or otherwise lost the legendary items in the past, you can get them back here for the small price of 500 gold, proving to all your fellow players that you’ve earned some of the rarest items in the game.
Where can you find the NPC?
You can find the corresponding NPCs in Orgrimmar and Stormwind at the Ethereals – i.e. the shops for transmogrification and the Void Bank. Seeker Najed (Stormwind) and Seeker Ke’rath (Orgrimmar) sell you old, legendary items that you have misplaced in the past.
Does that make the character stronger?
No. The legendary items are great rewards of the past. None of the legendary items in the current expansion The War Within have any relevance in terms of the power they give the character. So the merchant is only for all nostalgia fans who want to hold their legendary items from the old days in their hands again because they have somehow “misplaced” them.
So if you have someone in the guild who has always bragged that he or she “used to have all the Legendaries,” but then “threw them away when cleaning up for the next addon” – you can now put it to the test whether this is really the case by stocking up and preparing with Buying WOW Gold.
