Diablo 4 Druidin Gegen Duriel Titel 780x438 1

Blizzard is planning big changes with the next season of Diablo 4. Season 8 not only brings seasonal abilities, but also changes some of the existing content permanently. First and foremost: bosses. You can fight them at any time from Season 8 onwards, but you don’t necessarily get much out of it—unless you’re properly prepared. That’s where resources come in handy. Buy Diablo 4 Gold to gear up faster, take on bosses more efficiently, and make the most out of the new season’s content.

Which bosses are we talking about?

  • Once you’ve reached the maximum level in Diablo 4, it’s time for the Paragon and item grind. Unique and mythic items (“Uniques” and “Mythics”) are particularly sought after.
  • The best source for these items in most cases are the endgame or “ladder” bosses. Each boss has a chance to get certain items, so you can farm specifically.
  • Currently, there are often farm groups. Since you need boss materials to summon, players get together and summon the bosses in a row – which is now faster. So everyone can farm reasonably efficiently in a short time.

This is what changes in Season 8: In the coming season, Blizzard will almost completely eliminate the boss materials. You can summon bosses just like that, so you don’t waste any more materials if you find out they’re too harsh after all.

Instead, the bosses drop crates that you can only open with a key. For this key, you will need the appropriate materials – so you will still only get the important loot if you contribute.

Bosses also get much tougher and you really have to be careful that you play properly. Oneshot builds should no longer work in this form with the bosses. Since bosses are the theme of the season, there are also three new bosses in the endgame:

  • Belial from Diablo 3 returns and can even randomly appear in any boss fight like the Butcher. If you defeat him, you’ll get better loot with higher drop chances than anywhere else.
  • Urivar and the Harbinger of Hatred from the Vessel of Hatred campaign also come in a revamped form, with new and stronger mechanics. Many players have wished for that.

“Many people have complained about leecher”

In an interview, Lead Season Designer Deric Nuñez and Lead Live Game Designer Colin Finer talked about the changes (via gamespot). The two said that the changes are coming, among other things, because players were not quite fair.

With the old system, it was possible for someone to let the other players summon the bosses and then leave without contributing anything themselves. This is no longer possible, after all, everyone has to pay if they want loot.

At the same time, playing in groups is more worthwhile. The more players there are in the group, the higher the chance of getting bonus items from the box, Finer explains. The changes apply not only to Season 8, but to Diablo 4 in general and will remain permanent. Finer says: “It’s important that we continue to develop Diablo and don’t necessarily go all for throwaway changes.” (via GamesRadar).

The changes will be released together with Season 8 on April 29, 2025, but will also come to the eternal realms. From then on, not only the bosses, but also Diablo 4 will be fundamentally more difficult, because Blizzard is tweaking the difficulty levels.
