The Official Dragonflight Season 4 Patch Notes

If you want to pass the time until April 24, 2024 productively, you can browse through Blizzard's German patch notes. There you will find all the new features and adjustments that are planned for the final endgame phase of WoW Dragonflight.

  • Here you can find the official patch notes for Dragonflight Season 4

Season 4 Mythic Dungeons

For WoW Dragonflight Season 4, the Blizzard developers have announced sweeping changes to the dungeon system. Key points:

  • In the future, the Heroic difficulty will be more in line with the current level of Mythic 0 (including the corresponding rewards). It will still be possible to log in to this difficulty level via the Dungeon Finder, but your character will need to have a higher item level than before.
  • The current Mythic 0 should match the level of Mythic 10 in the future (the same goes for the rewards). There will still be no affixes and no timer here.
  • The following keystone steps adapt accordingly. So today's Mythic 5 is more like Mythic 15 in Season 4.
  • So, for today's Mythic dungeon content 0 to 10, there will no longer be a timer in Season 4.
  • You can expect a huge item level jump, as the loot from the Season 4 dungeons is sometimes up to 55 item levels higher than their current counterparts.

These dungeons have been confirmed for the upcoming Mythic Plus rotation:

  • Ruby Life Pool
  • Neltharus
  • Brackenfur Cave
  • Azure Vaults
  • Attack of the Nokhud
  • Uldaman (Legacy of Tyr)
  • Halls of Infusion
  • Academy of Algeth'ar.

The two parts of Dawn of the Eternal are currently flying out of rotation.

The New PvE and PvP Rewards

The following adjustments to the rewards are known:

  • Rewards from PvE and PvP will be purchasable with the new currency, Ancient Bronze Bars. Alternatively, you can earn them via the Awakening gear upgrade path.
  • If you complete all three Awakened raids from Dragonflight on Normal, you'll receive the Flying Mount Traveling Wildling.
  • For heroic mastery of the raids, the title The Awakened beckons.
  • The Dragonflight: Season 4 Keystone Master achievement rewards you with the Eternal Panzerdon mount.
  • Those who complete an Awakened Raid on Mythic will receive an associated path portal to teleport to the entrance of the respective instance.

Season 4 Raids

In a November 2023 interview with Icy Veins, game director Ion Hazzikostas had already stated that at the end of Dragonflight, we can expect a fateful season like the one we first saw in Shadowlands.

This means that you'll once again be able to raid the Vault of Incarnations, Abberus, Crucible of Shadows, and Amirdrassil, Hope of the Dream, but in a different version (with tougher enemies and better loot).

The three raid instances rotate as follows:

  • Every two weeks during Season 4 of Dragonflight, one of the three Dragonflight raids will be awakened: Vaults of Incarnations, Aberrus, Crucible of Shadows, or Amirdrassil, Hope of the Dream. Enemies in Awakened raids are stronger and drop upgraded loot with higher item level.
    • Schedule
      • Week 1 & 2: Vault of Incarnations
      • Week 3 & 4: Aberrus, Crucible of Shadows
      • Week 5 & 6: Amirdrassil, Hope of the Dream
      • Week 7+: All Raids Awakened
  • A buff that increases earned reputation with Dragonflight factions is activated when a specific raid is awakened:
    • Schedule
      • Vault of Incarnations: Mark of Awakened Storms – Dragonscale Expedition, Maruuk Centaurs, and Tuskarr of Iskaara
      • Aberrus, Crucible of Shadows: Mark of Awakened Embers - Niffs of Loamm, Soridormi, and Sabellian/Furorion
      • Amirdrassil, Hope of the Dream: Signs of Awakened Dreams – Dream Guardians and Valdrakken Accords
      • When all raids are awakened: Reputation gain for all of the above factions will be increased.

The New Tier Sets for All Classes

Earlier this year, a vote was held in the WoW community to determine the tier set designs and bonuses of all classes and specializations for Season 4. You could choose from all the sets and effects from the first three Dragonflight seasons.

All results from the poll can be found on the official WoW forums.

The new set pieces can be obtained through so-called level badges, which drop in the three Awakened raids.

What about the Legendaries?

Legendary items from Dragonflight can also be earned in the Awakened Raids. If you already own the item, you'll receive a Scale of Awakening, which you can use to upgrade the item to the Season 4 item level. Coats of arms and flying stones can then be used to upgrade the parts even further.

Gladiator mount and more – what is known about PvP?

With the start of Season 4, PvP leaderboards will be reset. Ranked PvP is a great way to earn new gear sets, mounts, titles, and more. Highlights include the Malevolent Dreamclaw and Draconian Gladiator's Dragon mounts.

In addition, there are the following titles and achievements:

  • The Draconian
    • Dragonflight Keystone Conqueror: Season 4 – Earn a Mythic+ rating of 1,500 in Dragonflight Season 4.
  • The Draconic Hero
    • Draconic Hero: Dragonflight Season 4 – Finishes Dragonflight Season 4 with a Mythic+ rating in the top 0.1% of all players in your region.
