Fortnite has officially announced that a Fallout collaboration is on the way.

The mega-hit battle royale title’s official X/Twitter account confirmed the news, sharing an image that shows a dusty landscape and a proud-looking individual in some Brotherhood of Steel T-60 power armor. The post itself doesnt share anything about what the crossover will entail outside of referencing Vault Boys iconic wink-and-thumbs-up pose.

Developer Epic Games also updated Fornites in-game news feed, confirming that Chapter 5 Season 3: Wrecked will arrive courtesy of the Brotherhood of Steelone week from today on May 24.

A Wasteland Emerges

Leaks suggest a drastic shift in the Fortnite landscape. The once vibrant Island appears to be succumbing to a devastating sandstorm, transforming familiar locations into a dusty, post-apocalyptic wasteland. Prepare to navigate cracked earth, abandoned settlements, and perhaps even a towering, mysterious castle replacing the former glory of Mount Olympus.

Nitro-Fueled Fury

Vehicles are poised to take center stage in Wrecked.  The "Nitro" substance teased by Epic Games hints at powerful upgrades for your ride. Imagine boosting across the barren landscape, outmaneuvering opponents in a high-speed chase, or even hijacking enemy vehicles for a strategic advantage.

Gear Up for the Battle

While the specifics remain under wraps, leaks suggest a Battle Pass filled with wasteland-themed cosmetics.  Expect gritty outfits, rugged backpacks, and maybe even some Mad Max-inspired gear to help you rule the desolate battleground.

New Toys for New Threats

The "Wrecked" theme extends beyond vehicles. A fiery hammer weapon is rumored to join the fray,  perfect for close-quarters combat in the ruins of the Island.  We might also see the return of fan favorites like the Burst SMG and a variety of makeshift weapons suited for a wasteland brawl.

With just a few days to go before the release of the new update, let's look forward to what else Epic Games has prepared for fans.
