Grand Theft Auto Online Update Adding New Cluckin' Bell Heist

Rockstar releases a teaser for GTA Online's next heist, the Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid, which releases soon and sees players battle against a new enemy.

Rockstar Games has released a trailer for Grand Theft Auto Online's new heist coming on March 7, the Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid. Grand Theft Auto Online's next major update sees users take on corrupt cops and a dangerous new cartel.

GTA Online's heists allow players to take down big scores by completing a series of setup missions before taking part in the heist itself. This is a fan-favorite feature, as heists often add new story content and sometimes add new locations. One of GTA Online's more popular additions was the Cayo Perico Heist, which added a new island and characters along with an entertaining plot and plenty of action-filled moments. While GTA Online's newest heist might not be as robust, it seems that fans still have plenty to look forward to.

GTA Online's trailer for the new heist shows that users will take down a large-scale cartel operation being run out of the Cluckin' Bell factory in Paleto Bay. Some of Los Santos' LSPD cops are working alongside the new cartel, so users will have multiple factions to fight against during the heist and its setup missions. The short trailer shows an assortment of scenarios that players will find themselves in, including high-speed chases, a yacht battle, and more. One of the heist's major characters is the previously introduced Vincent Effenburger, who is the former head of security at Diamond Casino and now a cop. Rockstar explained that users will join Effenburger to take part in an "unorthodox, but profitable" action-packed operation to defeat the new cartel.

Trailer for GTA Online's Next Heist

  • Players will battle against corrupt cops and a new cartel
  • Final heist will take place at the Cluckin' Bell Factory in Paleto Bay where the cartel is running its operation out of
  • Update will also add the Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor Law Enforcement vehicle

The March 7 update will also add to GTA Online's collection of vehicles by introducing the Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor Law Enforcement vehicle, which is a powerful and modern-looking new cop car. Thanks to a previous update in December that finally allowed players to purchase police cars, users will presumably be able to add this vehicle to their garage once they've earned it.

That's about it for the official details surrounding GTA Online's next heist. However, fans might be disappointed to learn that a recent update removed the Rockstar Editor from GTA 5 on last-gen consoles, with these users no longer having the ability to create or edit replays. Rockstar said it removed the popular feature to support future updates for GTA 5 and GTA Online.

As for the highly anticipated sequel to GTA 5, it seems that GTA 6 is in the final stages of development after an email from Rockstar's head of publishing found its way onto the internet. Rockstar employees were also called back into the office to ramp up productivity for the game's home stretch.
