I. Overview
To improve verification efficiency and listing experience, IGV.com has fully upgraded its verification system. With this upgrade, all verification requests will be routed through the new Verifier, and the old verifier will be officially retired.

II. Client Update Guide
1. Users of the Old Client
If you are currently using the old IGV client:
When you open the old client, you will be forced to update before you can continue using it.
After the update is complete, verification will automatically switch to the new verifier.
The old client interface remains fully functional for browsing and operations, but all verification requests will go through the new verifier.
2. New Users
New users cannot download the old client. Please download the latest version directly from the official website.
III. Verification Method Comparison
When listing, you can choose between the following two verification methods:
| Comparison Dimension | Client-Based Verification | Web-Based Verification |
|---|---|---|
| Exposure Weight | ↑↑↑ Highest | ↑↑ |
| Verification Speed | No queue | X minutes |
| Setup Effort | Low + one-time install | Low |
Recommendation:
For faster verification and higher search rankings, we recommend client-based verification.
If installing the client is not convenient, choose web-based verification, but please note that queuing may be required.
IV. FAQ
Q1: What is the difference between client-based and web-based verification?
| Dimension | Client-Based Verification | Web-Based Verification |
|---|---|---|
| Exposure Weight | Higher | Average |
| Verification Speed | No queue | Queue required |
| Setup Effort | One-time client installation | No installation needed |
Q2: I submitted a client-based verification request but never opened the verifier. What should I do?
After submitting your verification request, please open the verifier assistant within 30 minutes to start verification. Otherwise, the system will automatically mark it as a verification failure and you will need to resubmit.
Q3: Can I pause the verifier?
Yes. The verifier now has a Pause button. After pausing, it will resume from where you left off. However, if paused for more than 1 hour, it will automatically cancel and be marked as a verification failure.
Q4: Can I use the old template for bulk import?
No. The old template has been replaced. The system will intercept and prompt you to download the latest template.
Q5: What if the verification method I used is disabled while editing a product?
The system will automatically switch to another available verification method. You do not need to do anything extra — just submit your edits normally.
Q6: What should I do if the verifier is not responding?
Please check:
Whether the verifier is the latest version
Whether you are logged into your IGV account
Whether your internet connection is stable
Whether the verifier is being blocked by antivirus software
If the issue persists, please contact IGV.com online customer support.
Tip: Use the verification method that matches your operating system. For unsupported systems, web verification is usually the safer choice.
