WoW fans have waited a long time, now the hardest game mode starts next week. You are completely on your own.
Anyone who likes the classic worlds of World of Warcraft and is looking for a special challenge should try the “Hardcore” mode. Here you only have one life and if you die, the whole journey is over.
But it gets even harder. Because in “Solo Self Found” mode you are completely on your own. This is probably the hardest challenge in WoW Classic so far - and it starts next week.
What kind of mode is this?
In “Solo Self Found” mode, the “Hardcore” settings generally apply - i.e. the fact that you only have a single life and, in the event of failure, you lose your character and have to delete it or transfer it to another realm.
However, the “Self Found” option comes with further restrictions:
-
You cannot send or receive mail to other players.
-
You cannot buy or sell anything in the auction house.
-
You cannot trade with other players in any way.
In short: Other players are active in the game world, but most social interactions with them that lead to character improvement are not possible.
When does it start?
The “Solo Self Found” mode starts next week, on Thursday February 29th. From then on, this option will be added to the previous “Hardcore” realms. Using an additional setting, you can specify when creating your character that you want to face this special challenge.
In any case, this variant requires a little more planning. You should know in advance which professions the character will learn so that he can support himself. Because “just buying a stack of ore at the auction house” for engineering won’t work.
Will you take on this particularly tough HC challenge in WoW Classic? Or can't you do anything with it?
