Many MMORPG players crave the "good old MMO feel". One player has now switched from Retail WoW to WoW Classic Season of Discovery and has no regrets at all.

On Reddit, user DownvotesAreCringe shared his experience with WoW Classic Season of Discovery with the community. He himself is a WoW retail player who has spent his playing time as a solo healer. At the end of the day, however, he is usually in a bad mood, regardless of whether things were going well or badly during the day.

The Season of Discovery is much more than a "retail light" version
What is it about the SoD that makes the player so enjoyable?
On Reddit, the user describes what he likes so much about the Season of Discovery. According to his own statements, he raided, quested, earned gold and also killed many players in the open world.
In the meantime, he has just arrived at level 40 and, with some encouragement from the community, also ventured into the new raid Gnomeregan. At first, he didn't feel like it, because some groups wanted to see the logs for it, and that put him off. But with the encouragement from the community, he was now able to kill 5 of the 6 bosses.
Above all, the encounters with other players are fun for the player. He is not in any guild, but the people he meets by chance are special to him.
What else is he looking forward to?
Now that he's just reached the new level cap, he's eager to experience even more PvP content. Both the Battleground and the open-world PvP appeal to him. He also advises other players to get started with WoW Classic Season of Discovery:
I just wanted to mention all of this for those who aren't sure yet whether to start with SoD now or turn away from retail WoW. It's really a great time and it brings that MMO feel back to WoW. I'm not even in a guild, but all the public random interactions I've had with other players really make SoD special, more than I ever thought it would be. I basically just thought it was a "light" version of retail, but it turned out to be so much more. I appreciate the SoD developers. They seem to be the only ones still caring about Warcraft.
