Who is the most powerful being in Azeroth? We'll tell you what the strongest beings in the World of Warcraft universe are.

It's a bit of a running gag that every few years a threat appears in World of Warcraft that is even bigger and more powerful than anything known before. Each enemy is always overshadowed by an even more powerful adversary. But what are the balance of power in Azeroth? What are the most powerful beings there are in World of Warcraft? We'll show you the strongest creatures.

By the way, for new players, iGV will prepare fast, safe and cheap gold for you, Buy WOW Gold, which will help you to get an advantage and good gaming experience in the game.

How is this list composed?

The list is based on the power that a character or entity has within the history of World of Warcraft. So it's not about what kind of level or level a creature has in the game world or how hard the actual boss fight in a raid was. This article wants to classify where characters stand in direct comparison to each other, based on all the information you have about the creature so far.

5th place: The Lich King Arthas

Arthas Menethil is not only one of the most recognizable and beloved characters in the entire Warcraft franchise, but has also been extremely powerful in his role as the Lich King. He commands the army of the undead, called "The Scourge" and has the power to resurrect almost all beings in undeath and under his control.

Strictly speaking, the Lich King is a mixture of several people. Because not only Arthas Menethil is the Lich King, but also partly the orc Ner'zhul, whose spirit still existed in the armor of the Lich King. At the end of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Arthas "merged" with Ner'zhul to become the Lich King himself.

His final plan was to lure the heroes of Azeroth to him, kill them, and then awaken them as servants of the Scourge so that Azeroth could defend itself against invaders from the cosmos.

Although Arthas managed to kill all the heroes with ease (you literally die fighting him), the Light intervenes to revive the heroes. When Arthas' sword Frostmourne breaks, the tormented souls escape and hold him captive, so that the heroes at the side of the paladin Tirion Fordring succeed in defeating the Lich King.

Even though Arthas is now dead and the last bit of his soul is extinguished, he remains one of the most popular and powerful characters ever to exist in Warcraft.

4th place: Queen Azshara, the light of lights

Queen Azshara was originally a night elf and the queen of the Kaldorei Empire. She lived at the Well of Eternity and is still considered the most powerful mage ever in the known cosmos of World of Warcraft.

Their glory, beauty, and power have been so great that every being has fallen silent in their presence—even high-ranking demons fear them. She was so self-absorbed that she saw herself as the perfect wife for Sargeras, with whom she wanted to rule together. She allowed the demons to invade Azeroth and all "imperfect beings" to be wiped out of the face of the world—until only she, her most loyal highborne, and the demons remain. Their plan failed.

She is now the queen of the Naga. These are night elves who have been given a new form by the Old God N'Zoth that allows them to exist underwater. But Azshara has not only retained her own will and control over her people, but has gained even more power in the process.

Most recently, we saw Azshara in "Battle for Azeroth", but recent in-game books indicate that the queen will soon reappear to secure the "true throne of power" – whatever that will be.

3rd place: Sargeras, the Dark Titan

Sargeras is a Titan and thus actually a being from the pantheon of order. His task was to find world souls and banish demons. When he destroys a world corrupted by the Void, however, he comes into conflict with the other Titans. He then deviates from his plans, unleashes the captured demons and is himself corrupted by the devil magic (Fel).

Since then, he has roamed the cosmos in search of world souls – such as Azeroth – in order to destroy them and thus prevent the Void from corrupting a world soul. Because that would probably bring about the end of all existence and the reign of emptiness.

Sargeras had the "Burning Legion" as his army, a huge amalgamation of all demonic species that followed his will – even if they are more out for destruction than really for helping the cosmos.

The fact that Sargeras is the strongest of all Titans is made clear by the fact that it takes all the other Titans and Illidan to keep Sargeras imprisoned in his prison. It should only be a matter of time before the Lord of the Demons can escape at some point or is freed to once again take control of the creatures of the Nether.

2nd place: Void Lords

The Void Lords are a species about which very little is known so far. They belong to the cosmic power of the void and usually cannot manifest themselves in reality, as they would have to devour unimaginably large amounts of energy and matter.

So far, there has only been one known Void Lord who has manifested in the physical world – Dimensius, the All-Devourer. Although he had only a fraction of his power, he destroyed the world of K'aresh, turning its inhabitants into the astrals in the process. However, since Dimensius was in an extremely weakened condition, he could ultimately be defeated.

The Void Lords have the goal of corrupting a world soul and thus using it as an anchor point to exist in the physical world. Because a world soul would grant so much energy that Void Lords could maintain their true form and then devour the entire cosmos.

To achieve this goal, the Void Lords have hurled their seeds all over the cosmos to corrupt worlds – these seeds are the Old Gods. They are servants of the Void Lords and Xal'atath, the antagonist in "The War Within", also serves the Void Lords and is presumably working to finally give them access to the coveted world soul of Azeroth.

1st place: First Ones, Progenitors

The so-called "firsts" are still a relatively new invention in the cosmos of World of Warcraft and were only mentioned in more detail with "Shadowlands". They are basically the creators of the universe and were responsible for sorting the entire cosmos into the various cosmic powers (such as order, chaos, death or life). They created a Zereth facility for each cosmic power (like Zereth Mortis in Shadowlands) and created the base versions of most of the creatures that exist within that cosmic power.

It is not known whether the first ones (also known as "progenitors") still exist. It is conceivable that they still exist and observe the cosmos and their creation – or that they have long since disappeared.

What is clear, however, is that the First Ones not only created the Pantheon of Order and the Pantheon of Death, but also the great empires into which the cosmos is divided. In contrast to the Titans, they are the true creators and thus probably the most powerful creatures that have ever existed in World of Warcraft.

Rank 0: The One Guy from the Forest of Elwynn

Okay, of course this is not meant seriously, but there is a spark of truth in it. "The Hero" or "the Heroes" of Azeroth have been able to defeat most of the threats of the cosmos in one way or another. Although they are usually at the side of other powerful creatures, in most cases they are the tipping point that always manages to avert impending disaster.

Of course, this is due to the game mechanics of World of Warcraft, which are designed for epic raids and tough battles against well-known enemies.

Who would have thought that the one guy who beat wolves in front of the Abbey of Nordhain with his unmagical sword and ugly starting clothes back then would end up holding the fate of the entire cosmos in his hands?
